Wesley Way partners with Community Gardens of Henry County to provide a 31 bed community garden for area residents. The site is home to a donation garden known as Helping Harvest cared for by church volunteers. The fresh food from this garden helps provide hunger relief in the community. The garden yields approximately 10,000 pounds of locally grown fresh vegetables annually which is harvested and delivered to local organizations that serve families in need.
Wesley Way supports "Helping In His Name Food Pantry" by collecting non-perishable foods, hygiene and baby products and transporting these items to the pantry facility in Stockbridge. Members also serve as volunteers for the. A collection container for donated items can be found in the church lobby.
The Wesley Way Youth Ministry collects articles of clothing and blankets to distribute to our homeless brothers and sisters in the Atlanta area. Gloves, scarves, hats, socks, are among the items in demand. Donations are accepted for gently used items of this nature and can be delivered to the Senior High classroom upstairs. We periodically travel within the metro Atlanta area to provide meals and the articles mentioned above to those in need.
One Great Day of Service
Wesley Way sponsors the annual One Great Day of Service event that sends teams out into our community to provide service to individuals and organizations. The event is typically supported by over 100 volunteers and works to provide needed assistance to the local food pantry, family shelter, community gardens, and other similar community causes. Please join us in effort to make a positive difference in our community.
