Wesley Way United Methodist Church is proud to have served as host for the Upward Soccer program since the fall of 2006. The program is for all children grades Pre-K through the 6th grade.
The program is designed to encourage all children; which include equal playing time, competitive teams which are balanced, and a league striving for fun and not the "win-at-all-costs" attidude.
At each practice, the team coach shares a devotion with the children. Each devotion brings basic biblical principles. On game days, family and friends receive a devotion card as well.
Currently, there are two seaons offered, spring and fall. Practice is one late afternoon per week during the season and games are played on Saturday mornings.
The program cost is $85.00 per child. This cost includes the uniform shirt, shorts and socks. Parents are responsible for supplying their child with cleats and shin guards.
All coaches and referees are required to have a background check, provided by our Church through the Henry County Sheriff's Department.
